Finance Analyst Assistant (12 month FTC)

ACS are now recruiting a Finance Analyst Assistant (12 month FTC) to work within a highly successful law firm based in Liverpool

 

Duties:

  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Finance Systems Manager, including cover for other team members
  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the Firm financial systems
  • Support to the Firm with regards to system queries and / or issues
  • Identify, assist and document required business process improvements.
  • Support teams in the application of such processes with regards to the Firm’s Finance systems, and work to ensure that application of such processes supports a best practice approach
  • Work with team members on Finance Project activities
  • Regular reporting as required by the Finance Systems Manager

Essential:

  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with staff and suppliers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Work to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive and positive approach
  • Finance / Legal Cashier experience
  • Flexibility in approach and a willingness to work outside normal office hours, if required
  • Good team player, with the ability to manage time, and priorities efficiently
  • Good computer knowledge of MS Office Applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Desirable: 

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations related to the financial systems and/or processes
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills including ability to communicate with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Knowledge of the operational factors which exist in a large law firm
  • Ability to learn efficiently the principles of accounting policies, regulations and procedures
  • Work towards developing solutions and evaluating issues / queries
  • Ability to prepare written documents, such as process documents and reports
