Associate
We are currently recruiting for an Associate for the Abuse and Social Care department of our clients firm in Liverpool.
The role holder will assist on a varied caseload of defendant abuse and social care claims and litigation, with a view to running cases under supervision commensurate with experience and ability.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Client liaison
- Drafting documents and correspondence to clients/court/witnesses
- Preparing witness statements and instructions to experts
- Preparing document bundles for hearings
- Review and analysis of relevant documents
- Analysis of liability, quantum and causation
- Assisting in drafting advice
- Assisting Partners and other members of the team where required and discussing the conduct of cases
- Assisting in business development initiatives, including drafting of articles, blog pieces, e-shots and presentations and attendance at relevant events
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience of personal injury work is essential
- Previous experience of abuse or social care claims is desirable but not essential
- Ability to prioritise tasks and to work under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills
- Adherence to guidelines and procedures
- Demonstrable understanding of clients, colleagues and others
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently
