We are looking for a Senior Legal Cashier & Deputy COFA for a Liverpool based firm.

Role is to support, enhance and improve efficiencies in the client accounts team ensuring targets and deadlines are met.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Responsible for the running of the Client Accounts Team within a very busy and high volume personal injury law firm, supervising 5 members of staff, reporting to the Deputy Head of Accounts and the Finance Director/COFA

Take all reasonable steps to ensure that management and employees comply with their obligations under the SRA accounts rules

Monthly financial file reviews

Maintenance of the breach register.

Assessing the effectiveness systems in relation to dealing with client account matters and implementing/changing processes as necessary.

Reconciliation of financial ledgers and archiving of client matter files

Checking and processing receipts advices and associated documentation for Damages, Disbursements and Costs

Printing and distribution of all cheques to fee earners

Payment of BACS/Chaps payments

Daily client account bank reconciliations

Daily banking (client and office)

Completion of all month end tasks to deadline, including bill review and 6 month cheque write off

Other ad-hoc duties

Must have Legal cashier experience and Strong Excel skills including use of pivot tables, look ups etc

Salary £25,000 – £28,000
