We are looking for a Finance Assistant for a legal firm on Merseyside.

You will report to The Costs Team Leader on a daily basis.

 Duties will include,

  • Accessing information via case management system to identify details of cheques
  • Providing support and advice to other departments were necessary
  • Paying in cost cheque & create bill numbers using excel spreadsheet
  • Paying in stage 1 cheques and produce MOJ bill on a daily basis in a timely manner
  • Rectifying any bill queries to ensure files are closed proactively
  • Using SOS to post daily bills
  • Producing daily cost report

 Responsibility for:

  • Ensuring all principal accountabilities related to the role are being satisfied
  • Taking steps to highlight to Costs Team Leader any problems encountered
  • Dealing with all matters in accordance with agreed SLAs, terms and conditions

 Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required:

  • An ability to work using own initiative within boundaries, as well as in a team, to achieve maximum results
  • Good communication, interpersonal and numeric skills
  • Good attention to detail and an ability to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities, including external sources
  • Good organisational and time management skills
