We are currently recruiting for a talented and driven Family Paralegal to join the Family Department of a law firm based on the Wirral.
The successful candidate will have a varied workload which will include but not be limited to:
- Preparing documentation
- Attending court
- Conducting advocacy
- General office administration
- Telephony
- Assisting with general enquires
- Preparing LAA/client bills
Working directly to the Senior Partner, the successful candidate will undertake a challenging caseload specializing in the full remit of Children matters and Child Protection cases. The caseload is primarily publicly funded requiring a good understanding of LAA procedures, particularly Public Children Law. A demanding role with a high level of client and professional contact suited to a confident Paralegal seeking a new challenge within a progressive firm.
My client is looking for Legal Assistants and Paralegals with:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in a reputable family law department, or
- LPC/BPTC graduates looking to specialize in family law (potential 2016 Training Contract)
- Strong knowledge of children matters including child protection
- Outstanding client care skills
- Excellent written and communication skills across all levels
- Good IT skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a friendly nature
- Experience of conducting advocacy (preferred but not essential)
