We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader for the Personal Injury department of our clients firm in Cheshire.

Duties will include but not be limited to,

• Managing a Team of Personal Injury Fee Earners & Legal Assistants and assist them with their caseloads
• Identifying and transfer appropriate files to the Litigation Department
• Reviewing the daily task lists of their team and identify any portal files that have not been actioned or delayed
• Reviewing timed out lists as soon as prepared to identify files that should be transferred or need attention
• Reviewing and action the supplier month end reports, in particular KAM and Wisecall in line with the agreed SLA
• Conducting a daily review of the pending files for the team
• Providing guidance on complex files where appropriate
• Escalating any potential breaches or client complaints where appropriate to the Legal Director
• Motivating the team and implement initiatives that will contribute towards achieving individual and business targets
• Where appropriate escalate operational or personnel matters to the Practice Manager
• Conduct monthly 1-2-1 s with team members
• Allocating new claims to Fee Earners
• Managing the workload of the Legal Assistants
• To be involved in the recruitment process for new team members
• Managing teams absence via Who’s Off
• Working in accordance with all of the firm’s policies and procedures

Candidate Requirements,

• Experience of leading and managing a team of Fee Earners, delegating work, raising team performance
• Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules pre-action personal injury protocol and MoJ low-value claims process
• Knowledge of quantum for personal injury claims
• Experience of managing your own caseload of personal injury claims for a law firm or insurer
