Senior Associate – IP / Commercial Solicitor
ACS are now recruiting a Senior Associate – IP / Commercial Solicitor to work within the Liverpool/Manchester team at a successful law firm.
Key responsibilities
- intellectual property due diligence and general corporate support
- intellectual property commercialisation strategies
- intellectual property contracts including licensing, sponsorship agreements, merchandising agreements, royalty agreements, and assignments
- commercial agreements
- Specialist intellectual property advice
- infringement opinions and litigation support
- intellectual property audit reviews
Essential:
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to get a grip of the wider commercial issues
- Excellent legal and commercial research skills
- Experience of providing the full range of intellectual property advisory services in private legal practice
- Experience of drafting and negotiating IP and commercial contracts and documentation
- An understanding of clients’ needs and expectations
- Excellence in service quality (service delivery and quality of services provided), through technical and service excellence
- Ability to play a proactive part in business development activity
- Adherence to guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Desirable:
- Excellence in persuading and influencing and ability to remain an effective communicator under pressure
- Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships, network and work collaboratively
- Good listening skills and willingness to receive and act on feedback
- A proven track record of involvement in effective business development activity
- Knowledge of trade mark and design rights registrations in the UK, the EU and through the Madrid Protocol.
