Key responsibilities

  • Commercial agreements
  • Specialist intellectual property advice
  • Infringement opinions and litigation support
  • Intellectual property audit reviews
  • Intellectual property due diligence and general corporate support
  • Intellectual property commercialisation strategies
  • Intellectual property contracts including licensing, sponsorship agreements, merchandising agreements, royalty agreements, and assignments

Expectations

  • Law degree (or equivalent)
  • Good level of general commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Time management skills showing ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent legal and commercial research skills
  • Demonstrates understanding and recognition of associated issues relating to legislation of: Consumer, Data Protection Compliance, Unfair Terms and IP Application in practical situations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Solid experience of advising public sector clients in relation to all aspects of the application of relevant public procurement legislation (and advising private and third sector clients in relation to possible challenges)
  • Driven to create workable solutions for the commercial issues in the best interest of the clients
  • Experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and documentation in private practice
  • Demonstrates an understanding of clients’ needs and expectations
  • Experience of advising clients on public procurement compliance
  • Excellence in service delivery and quality of services provided through technical and service excellence
  • Ability to play a proactive part in business development activity individually and collectively
  • Experience of advising clients on public procurement compliance
  • Adherence to guidelines and procedures.
