We are currently looking to recruit a Personal Injury paralegal for our client based in Bury.
Candidate must have the following:
• Attending and advising clients in cases where appropriate under supervision
• Responding to post, telephone enquiries and queries from clients, other professionals experts, colleagues and third party representatives where appropriate, in order to progress cases effectively
• Assisting fee earners in the department in progressing cases where required
• Control and Management of Work in Progress ensuring that it is recorded and converted into paid Profit Costs under supervision and direction
• Working on files as appropriate, including (but not exclusively) drafting letters, protocol steps collating evidence, preparing costs letters, dealing with funding issues, to-do/diary lists, instructing medical experts and liaising with medical agencies. Preparing basic scheduling and basic witness and care statements, along with basic instructions to counsel
• Carrying out administrative duties as appropriate including (but not exclusively) updating referrers information, paying invoices, closing files, clearing balances, dealing with twice yearly cost letters
