Legal Secretary/Assistant
ACS are currently recruiting a Legal Secretary / Assistant to work in a busy office in Liverpool City centre to assist in dealing with residential and commercial conveyancing work.
Key tasks include:
- Advising clients of any incurred cost, such as stamp duty and legal fees
- Dealing with other parties involved in the transaction
- Conducting ‘searches’
- Preparing transfer documents including, where appropriate, leases and mortgages
- Prepare correspondence and documents using the firms case management systems
- Dealing with post completion requirements
- Generally assist in all aspects of conveyancing.
- Providing quotes
- File creation on our case management systems
- Taking instructions from clients
- Completion of SDLT/LTT forms
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
- High word-processing skills
- Confident and organised individual who is able to work on their own initiative
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience working in residential and/or commercial conveyancing
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
