To provide a high level of secretarial and administrative support to the health team working closely with the lead partner to help make the best use of their time and acting as first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to build and grow client relationships

Responsibilities

  • Email management – checking continuously throughout the day your lawyers’ emails, prioritising these and collating all necessary documents as necessary and electronic filing of all emails.
  • Diary management.  Ensuring that your lawyers’ diaries maintained up to date and accurately, where necessary planning travel and accommodation using your own initiative
  • Undertaking all associated administrative tasks, including billing (manual and automated)
  • Preparation of legal correspondence and documents including letters, lengthy documents & agreements
  • File management.  Ensuring that all files are up to date and maintained appropriately, including file opening and closing, and if necessary maintaining a brought forward system
  • As directed assisting in the organisation of marketing events, seminars and conferences including producing seminar notes and Powerpoint slides
  • Liaising with internal and external clients to arrange meetings and appointments
  • As directed, upkeep and maintenance of the firm’s marketing database, Interaction
  • Any other duties commensurate with the job role as reasonably requested by your supervisor

Skills and experience required

Technical skills

  • Defendant litigation experience preferred
  • Must have experience of using a document management system within a litigation environment
  • Must be highly IT literate with a full understanding of Word/Office including Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Must have legal billing experience (manual and automated)
  • Fast and accurate audio typing skills, minimum of 65 wpm
