Legal Advisor – Defence/Credit Hire
ACS are now recruiting a Legal Advisor to work in a busy law firm based in Birkenhead
Experience and Knowledge
- Ensure any appropriate instructions are obtained from any relevant lay clients
- Ensure any appropriate instructions are obtained from any relevant insurance clients
- Instruct to counsel, to attend conferences, hearings and CMC’s etc.
- Undertake telephone advocacy when appropriate
- Have a good working knowledge of the CPR and other relevant case law/legislation and progressing defences in a timely manner in accordance with the CPR
- Prioritise urgent schedule entries and dealing with remainder of daily tasks on to do list
- Take pragmatic approaches to settlements and advising clients to litigation/cost risks
- Have an excellent knowledge of credit hire litigation and be recognised as an expert in that field
About you
- A solicitor, ILEX qualified or file handler of at least 5 years’ experience in the personal injury field
- An ability to work in an organised manner
- Must be known as an industry leader within the field of credit hire litigation
- Excellent client care and analytical skills, to include providing oral and written advice in a clear concise manner
- Proven track record of running as successful and fast and or multi track caseload within a personal injury environment
- Good IT skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Good attention to detail
