Household Claims Handler

A Household Claims Handler is needed for Warrington based firm.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To provide a household claims handling service by acting as first point of contact for clients
  • Reporting and recording details of new household buildings and contents claims
  • Liaising with the insurer, contractors, loss adjusters and other agents as required
  • Identifying potential subrogated recovery or contribution recovery when dual cover may exist


  • Accept Telephone and FNOL claims from private clients.
  • Manage the FNOL process with the client to determine the most appropriate course of action.
  • Manage the reinstatement process or replacement item process with the approved contractor and approved suppliers where appropriate
  • Indemnity assessment and possible recovery or contribution factors
  • Undertake any other duties as necessary
  • Understand the claims journey as to actions required
  • Instruct contractors, loss adjusters and service providers to implement a speedy reinstatement or settlement of the clients buildings or contents claim
