Fraud Litigator

We are currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fraud Litigator for our client in Manchester.

Brief Job Description

To pro-actively manage a predominantly litigated caseload of motor insurance fraud and motor claims to conclusion including trial and appeal.  Caseload will include small, fast and multi-track cases with reserve limits of up to £100k.

Additional duties

  • Meet time and income contribution targets
  • Maintain accurate Claims Management System records
  • Maintain files in accordance with client SLA’s, internal processes and supervision procedures
  • Maintenance of management information in accordance with client requirements
  • Ensure quality, service standards and productivity levels are maintained to a high standard
  • Draft appropriate documentation
  • Liaise with clients and opponent solicitors
  • Where appropriate, attend client review meetings
  • Assist with both internal & external auditing
  • Continually keep Managers abreast of any client changes and issues
  • Carry out supervisory tasks appropriate to level and as per management instructions

Candidate Requirements

  • Fraud defendant litigation experience is essential
  • Motor claims experience to include LVI, credit hire and declaration proceedings
  • Technical litigation experience
  • Experience of handling fraud rings is preferable
  • Experience of managing own caseload
  • Deliver technically accurate and appropriate advice to clients, colleagues and others
  • Demonstrate understanding of client needs/expectations
  • Ability to interact and communicate with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Prioritise workload and organise own work effectively
  • Adhere to internal guidelines and procedures
  • Apply knowledge, skills or experience to solve problems
