We are currently looking for a Clinical Negligence Legal Secretary for our clients firm in Chester.

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking individual and will become an integral part of the clinical negligence team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Transcribing dictation (BigHand)
• Opening new files including obtaining relevant ID for new clients
• Responding to day to day correspondence
• Taking telephone messages and updating clients/other solicitors, where appropriate
• Preparing and submitting bills
• Managing diaries and arranging meetings
• Proof reading

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a clinical negligence department and will possess the following skills:

• Excellent typing skills (speed and accuracy are key)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to use own initiative
• Effective and confident communicator (verbal and written)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• IT literate
• Knowledge of medical vocabulary preferred
• Experience using case management system preferred but not essential (Lawsoft)
