We are recruiting for an Associate for the Commercial Litigation team of an established Manchester based firm.

Duties will include but not be limited to,

  • Managing a caseload
  • Communicate in writing and by telephone with debtors, solicitors, courts and all other interested parties
  • Drafting documents
  • Negotiating with the other side
  • Undertake appropriate additional tasks provided by the Team Leader
  • 1400 chargeable hours and 600 investment hours per annum
  • Client liaison in writing and over the telephone
  • Business development
  • Instructing Counsel and experts
  • Preparation of reports to clients
  • Achieve KPIs set for members of the team and the BSG

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience of managing a caseload within Commercial Litigation
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work appropriately so that deadlines are met
  • Demonstrates an understanding of clients’ needs/expectations
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Adheres to guidelines and procedures
