We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator for a company in Liverpool City Centre.

Successful candidate will be hhighly motivated individual capable of working on own initiative and assisting  as part of a team. You will after a short period  be handed his/her own Client base and will be required to deal with all aspects of the shipping process from receipt of the purchase order, entry into database , transmission of that information  to our overseas office/agent and co-ordinate the shipment of goods to the  final destination , issue bill of lading instructions and check commercial invoices /packing list for accuracy, issue delivery instructions and  prepare  and issue  the final invoice ( Customs procedures and distribution within the U.K. is handled in-house by a specialist team but knowledge of the procedures/requirements  would be advantageous)

Duties will include

  • Day to day co-ordination of  import shipments into the U.K.  from the Far East and management of the numerous  cross trade shipments across the globe.
  • Dealing with the UK Client directly and providing status reports from the system on a regular basis.

Must be computer literate and have had experience using a database – training on the company’s bespoke database will be given.

Depending on position granted upon employment the applicant will report directly to his/her Line Manager or to the Operations Director.

Full training will be given but it is expected that the applicant will be familiar with and have experience in the freight forwarding sector.
