Legal Secretary/Assistant

ACS are currently recruiting a Legal Secretary / Assistant to work in a busy office in Liverpool City centre to assist in dealing with residential and commercial conveyancing work.

Key tasks include:

  • Advising clients of any incurred cost, such as stamp duty and legal fees
  • Dealing with other parties involved in the transaction
  • Conducting ‘searches’
  • Preparing transfer documents including, where appropriate, leases and mortgages
  • Prepare correspondence and documents using the firms case management systems
  • Dealing with post completion requirements
  • Generally assist in all aspects of conveyancing.
  • Providing quotes
  • File creation on our case management systems
  • Taking instructions from clients
  • Completion of SDLT/LTT forms

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

  • High word-processing skills
  • Confident and organised individual who is able to work on their own initiative
  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience working in residential and/or commercial conveyancing
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
